Frequently Asked Questions
What services and amenities are provided at Arcadia Senior Living?
At Arcadia, every resident enjoys a private apartment with a lockable door and private bathroom—ensuring dignity, comfort, and independence in a secure, home-like setting.
Our assisted living community includes a full range of services designed to simplify daily life and enhance well-being, such as three chef-prepared meals daily, weekly housekeeping and laundry, scheduled transportation, a full calendar of life-enrichment activities, and 24/7 on-site staff. Utilities including cable and internet (excludes phone), resident parking, maintenance, and basic clerical support are also included.
Residents may access third-party healthcare services as needed, arranged independently or through select on-site providers depending on location.
Is assisted living the same as a nursing home?
No. While both offer help with activities of daily living, nursing homes provide full-time medical care and skilled nursing services. Assisted living, like Arcadia, supports non-medical needs in a more residential, home-like environment focused on independence, privacy, and community engagement.
Will I have to share an apartment?
No. Each resident has a private apartment. Shared accommodations are available only by mutual request, such as for spouses or chosen companions.
Are legal documents required before move-in?
Yes. All residents must review and sign a lease agreement before moving in. This document outlines services, policies, and resident rights to ensure clarity and transparency from the start.
Is transportation provided for appointments and errands?
Yes. We offer scheduled transportation for medical appointments, personal outings, shopping trips, and more. Our team is happy to help with scheduling and coordination.
Can I bring my own furniture and décor?
Yes! We encourage residents to personalize their apartments with furniture, decorations, and keepsakes that bring comfort and familiarity.
What factors determine the cost of assisted living?
Costs are based on the size and layout of your apartment, the level of care you need, and any optional services you choose. Arcadia offers a clear and inclusive pricing model with no hidden fees—making it easier for families to plan with confidence.
Are staff members trained and qualified?
Yes. All Arcadia staff receive role-specific training upon hire and ongoing education to maintain high standards of care, safety, and service.
Do you run background checks on staff?
Yes. Every Arcadia employee undergoes a criminal background check as part of the hiring process. Resident safety is a top priority.
Does Medicare or Medicaid cover assisted living?
In most cases, Medicare and Medicaid do not cover assisted living directly. However, some healthcare services provided by licensed third-party providers may be eligible for coverage. Our team can help guide you through available options.
Will long-term care insurance help pay for assisted living?
Yes. Many long-term care insurance policies include coverage for assisted living services. Because benefits vary, we recommend reviewing your policy. Our staff is happy to assist in understanding and applying your coverage.
